An Urgent Plea For The People of Haiti- Update January 2024

GOOD NEWS With help from caring and loving supporters, MOM was able to successfully get the two ovens moved to safety in a remote village far from the civil war in Haiti. Our manager risked his life and limbs to do so. These remarkable Solar ovens, each weighing a substantial 2,000 pounds, were originally placed in Haiti two years ago to support our bakery project that has provided sustenance, clean water, and economic opportunities for the local population. They endured multiple natural disasters, including earthquakes and hurricanes, as well as the challenges posed by previous civil conflicts, and served as literal lifelines for countless individuals.


The ovens have been renovated by our faithful manager and are ready to begin baking and cooking for the community . These Sunovens are more than just the world’s largest solar ovens; they are beacons of hope in desperately impoverished communities. They provide not only cooked food but also daily bread, sterilized water, and opportunities for small business development, representing a lifeline for those who depend on them.We kindly request your support in this critical endeavor, and there are multiple ways you can make a difference: 1. We have attached photos of the ovens in their current, secure enclosure at the orphanage in Gressier, Haiti. It is imperative that we move them to safety this weekend.
